Birth Doula Services

Free Consultation:

It is very important that you and your partner are comfortable with me and with my role in the birth. This initial meeting is free and does not obligate you to use my services. If you choose to select me as your doula, I will want to become more familiar with your plans for labor, birth, and postpartum.

Phone & Email Support

As your birth doula I will be available via Phone, Text and Email if you have any questions. I am available 24/7 to support you after the 38th week.

2 Prenatal Visits

I prefer we arrange for 1 prenatal meeting  (before 30 weeks). And the second prenatal meeting at 36 weeks. These meetings gives us a chance to talk in detail about your preferences regarding your birth.

If you have a Birth Plan, we will review it carefully.

If you do not have a Birth Plan and would like to create one, I can assist with this. I will want to know your own personal ways of coping with pain and fatigue and difficult situations, and what internal resources we can draw upon to assist you with the birthing experience. I will want to know how you and your partner foresee working together, and the roles of others who may be attending the birth.

We can discuss together what fears and concerns you have regarding the birth. We can review your preferences regarding the use of pain medications. My role is to help you have a satisfying birth as you define it. The more we explore this in advance, the better I will be able to fulfill this role.

This contract will be signed at or before the first prenatal meeting. I will also inform you of times when I am unavailable for labor support. To cover those times, I will arrange one or more qualified back-up doulas whom you may also meet.

Postpartum Massage

Postpartum massage helps mom to learn how to relax her shoulders and neck. Often times because of holding baby and breastfeeding then neck and shoulders become tense. Postpartum massage helps to strech those muscles and relax them.

Infant Massage

Massage for infants is helpful when it comes to bonding with your baby. It is a short 10-15 min massage based on how baby is feeling. I teach new parents how to massage baby to help with gas pains, spitting up, and bonding.

During labor

During labor my main goal is for you to have the birth you desire. I will support you with all of tools that I have available. I utilize my skills with massage therapy to help soothe the muscles and help you relax. I have the ability to integrate aromatherapy and essential oils to help stimulate labor as well as create a calming environment.

Postpartum follow-up visit

I like to come to your home 7-10 days postpartum to make sure that you are settled with baby. I like not only to check in with how baby is doing but also to make sure that you are doing well. This postpartum visit is included in the fee.
